HELLO SPACE | Bulgaria Calling 4.0
On June 25, 2024, HELLO SPACE | Bulgaria Calling reaches a new milestone with its fourth edition held at Sofia Tech Park. The festival is the largest to date, with over 2,000 visitors, numerous lectures, and a record number of interactive activities.
For the first time, the exhibition features nearly 40 interactive outdoor booths that allow visitors to engage with science, technology, and innovation through hands-on demonstrations and experiences.
The highlight of the event is the first-ever live appearance by an astronaut at the festival. Michael Lopez-Alegria, a former NASA astronaut, current astronaut with Axiom Space, and NASA record-holder for the most hours spent in open space, shares personal stories from his latest mission and answers 10 questions from students selected through a preliminary contest.
The event builds on its established format with STEAM lectures, meetings with scientists and engineers, interactive science demonstrations, and participation by the Bulgarian Army’s Special Forces. For the first time, a special Green Space corner has been set up, dedicated to health and the protection of planet Earth.
