1. Our Commitment
Hello Space primarily serves participants aged 5–22. Atlantic Club of Bulgaria (Non-profit Association) processes the personal data of minors in strict compliance with GDPR Article 8, the Bulgarian Personal Data Protection Act, and child safeguarding best practice.
2. Age Thresholds

The GDPR Article 8 consent age in Bulgaria is 16. We apply this threshold strictly.
3. Data Collected About Children
- First name and surname
- School name and grade/class
- Age group (competition category: Grades 1–4, 5–7, or 8–12)
- Parent/guardian name and email address (as primary contact for under-16s)
- Artwork or project submission files
We do NOT collect home addresses, national ID numbers, precise dates of birth, or children’s personal social media profiles.
4. How Parental Consent Is Obtained
- Ticket registration: The registration form requires a parent/guardian to complete it for participants under 16, including a mandatory consent checkbox.
- Competition entries: Submitted by email with a cover note from the parent/guardian confirming consent to the competition rules and data processing.
- Photo/video use: Separate written consent — see Photo & Video Consent Policy.
- On-site: A physical consent form is signed at the event registration desk for walk-in participants under 16 without prior online registration.
5. Uses of Children’s Data
- Processing competition entries and determining winners
- Confirming workshop registrations and sending event logistics to parents/guardians
- Publishing winner first name and school on the website/social media (with prior parental consent)
- Event safety planning (attendee counts by age group)
We do NOT use children’s data for advertising, profiling, or share it with third parties except as described in the Privacy Policy.
6. Winner Announcements
- Only first name and school name are published — no home address, phone, or personal email
- Written parental consent is obtained before any child’s image is published
- Children may use a pseudonym or first name only on request
- Winner listings are removed after 12 months unless renewed consent is given
7. Parents’ Rights
- Access all personal data we hold about your child
- Correct inaccurate data
- Withdraw consent and request deletion at any time
- Object to publication of your child’s name or image
- Request withdrawal of a competition entry

8. Security for Children’s Data
- Access restricted to authorised festival organisers and judges
- Physical consent forms stored in locked files
- Digital records password-protected; not shared with volunteers unless strictly necessary
- Securely deleted after retention period
